Nalini can not be released: Tamil Nadu government
The Government of Tamil Nadu issued the release of 25 years of life imprisonment for 10 years and 20 years imprisonment for MGR's 100th birthday.
Following this, the Tamil Nadu Home Secretary sent a circular to 9 central prison officers in Tamil Nadu.
He said that the Tamil Nadu government has decided to release the detainees on the basis of virtue and humanitarian grounds and prepare the list.
The Rajiv Gandhi murder case has been named by the culprits Murugan, Perarivalan, Shanthan and Nalini.
However, the Government of Tamil Nadu now claims that Nalini can not be released as per Article 435.
Nalini has filed a suit in the High Court demanding her to declare herself as a law against the fundamental rights.
