Mankatha Ajith to be Fit

Mankatha is Ajith 50th film,also his first multistarrer after turning to the top league to be directed by long time friend Venkat Prabhu and produced by the high profile Dayanidhi Alagiri s/o MK Alagiri for the first time.And Makatha will also be the ever biggest budgeted film in the career of Ajith Kumar.

To keep himself fit to the role, the Thala has been regularly practicing at a gym of late, we learn. “Though Ajith always gives importance to workouts, he is taking extra care this time for Mankatha,” circles close to him say.

They add: “Ajith is spending his mornings and evenings in the gym these days. He is set to stun his fans and critics alike with a new look in this film, as the story and his character demand one. In short, he is getting ready for the game.”

Nagarjuna is making a Kollywood entry after a long hiatus, currently he is involved in Payanam, a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu being produced by Prakash Raj for Duet Films. Payanam is almost complete and is in its final leg now which will be shot in Chennai. To can this portion, Nagarjuna is in Chennai and would be here till the completion. With Ajith and Nagarjuna in the lead Premji Amaran and Neetu Chandra playing pivotal roles, the pooja of ‘Mankatha’ was held in Chennai last week. “Plans are to release the film as a summer 2011 treat,” says Venkat Prabhu.
