Sri Lanka: Explosion at bus-19 injured
The army announced that 19 people, including 12 government soldiers, were injured in a bomb exploding in bus from Jaffna to Diyathalawa, Sri Lanka.
Among the injured were 7 soldiers and 5 air force. It is said that the situation of the two soldiers is worrying.
Army spokesman Brigady Sumith told reporters that the bus people had moved to Diyatalawa in a private bus before the bomb exploded in Bandarawela.
Meanwhile, Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe announced in parliament that a grenade was exploded in this bus.
Law Minister Sagala Ratnayake also said that the initial investigations revealed that the handcuffs were hidden in a traveler's bag.
A statement issued by the military has denied any involvement in the terrorist connection.
Soldiers from vacation to the north of the war have been forced to go to their native places by bus.
